Meet Chief (AMHA registered as UC Commander), a two year old registered Morgan gelding by the winning stallion, UC Domination and out of the mare Friend Charity Rose. He was bred and born at University of Connecticut and is a great combination of foundation and government bloodlines known for their good working minds. This handsome young man displays all of the characteristics that have made the Morgan breed so well loved; he is brave, inquisitive, gentle and kind in addition to being a lovely mover in a correct, compact body. Chief is expected to mature to 14.2h, which makes him an ideal size for a smaller adult or junior rider. His all around "sporty" build and natural athleticism is telltale of a horse who has a promising career in the dressage, jumper or eventing fields. His bold and curious nature makes him a pleasure to be around. He always wants to know what you're doing, and if he can help! He is such a sweet horse and is always looking to interact with the people and horses around him. He will even "play" hide-and-seek in the paddock with my six year old son. It's adorable. He loves to be groomed and fussed over, and getting his bum scratched is his absolute favorite thing! Chief is equally as handsome as he is kind and personable. He is very well put together with a strong hind end, short back, well set neck and terrific feet. It doesn't hurt that he happens to have a stunningly long mane and tail, too!!! He has a lovely reach with his shoulder and absolutely floats across the ground when he moves. Chief has been started on the lunge line and is learning how to do all the "big horse things" in preparation for his riding and/or driving career. Though not yet backed, Chief is a quick learner who I feel will progress quickly in a program centered on riding or driving. If you're looking for a smaller horse who has a BIG future, he's your guy. Train him the way you want to! Please text or call if you'd like to see more photos/video. I love this guy so much, and want to find him the absolute best home. Gelded 12/12/2023. Clean PPE on file (done by Tufts) from 4/10/2024. UTD on all vaccines, dewormer and has a current negative Coggins. Barefoot and UTD on trims. Priced at $7,000.
Stina Alegra PJ, a 10 year old imported 16 hand registered Hanovarian mare by the famed Hanovarian stallion Stakkato x Landgraf. She is registered with the Hannoveraner Verband and also has a lifetime USEF number. Alegra, as we call her around the barn, has so many wonderful qualities that it's hard to know where to start. On the ground, she has an almost zen-like presence. She is quiet, sweet, and enjoys being groomed and spending time with her people. She will nicker at you and greet you at the paddock gate. She is incredibly kind and gentle, and my six year old son has even led her in from turn out. She's a pleasure to handle and is absolutely wonderful for whomever is at the other end of the lead rope. She has terrific ground manners, and loads into the trailer like a pro. Undersaddle, Alegra is poised, responsive, brave, and a joy to ride. She has three expressive, athletic, ground covering gates and is extremely comfortable. This mare is bred to jump! Amazing canter with tons of adjustability, brave to the jump, scope for days, incredibly correct with her front end over fences, has her changes and is an absolute love bug on the ground. She scored perfect 10s on her jumping technique and scope at her Hanovarian inspection in Germany. This is a high-quality mare with low miles and a bright future in the jumper ring. Would match best to an experienced Adult or a Pro looking for something they can put some show miles on. This mare is the perfect blank slate. Price will increase with show mileage and training. UTD on vaccines, Coggins, farrier. Very well mannered off property. Perfect for vet and farrier. Please call for information. Priced at $30,000.
