At Kohn Equine, we believe that the best type of learning happens when you and your horse are having fun! Whether you're a first-time rider or a seasoned competitor, the time you spend in the saddle should be enjoyable. We focus on structuring our lessons so that horse and rider are set up for success, and we strive to build confidence by creating a strong foundation on which a rider can grow. No matter what your short or long-term goals may be, we will work with you to take the steps necessary to achieve them!
Kohn Equine is proud to offer lessons at the beautiful Wenham Farm in Carver, Massachusetts. Wenham Farm has a rich and longstanding history in the south coast equine community, and is currently being lovingly restored and brought back to its original glory by the Hill Family. The farm, set on a picturesque lot in the quaint town of Carver, boasts a large center aisle barn, several smaller barns, numerous paddocks, an outdoor arena with a full course of jumps, an indoor arena with dressage letters and access to miles of trails. Creating a positive, welcoming and supportive environment is our top priority for all of our lesson students. We focus on safety, fun and learning, and strive to create riders who are good horsemen/women both in and out of the saddle.
Our trusty lesson horses cater to riders of every age (5+) and experience level, and we have horses to support those who want to ride western, dressage (English and Western) as well as hunter/jumper. Our lesson horses receive the best care and truly love being a part of our program and helping riders find joy in equestrian sports.
For riders who own their own horses, we welcome you to ship in to the farm for lessons. Michelle also has limited ability to travel locally to teach at your farm (travel fees are applicable) as well as for a limited number of riders to ship in to Michelle's private farm in Lakeville, MA.
